Shearer's Wins Evolution of Manufacturing Award

Smart Business magazine and CAMP Inc. are honoring Shearer’s Foods and other regional companies for evolving into the next generation of manufacturing leaders at the 2006 Evolution of Manufacturing Conference and Awards program to be held on February 16, 2006. The Evolution of Manufacturing Award recognizes succcessful companies at the root of Northeast Ohio’s industrial evolution.

"Shearer’s is proud to be selected as an Evolution of Manufacturing award winner,” says Bob Shearer, President and CEO. “Thanks to our dedicated associates and management team, we are achieving excellence in manufacturing and producing award-winning products while growing our business.”

Evolution honorees were showcased in the February 2006 edition of Smart Business magazine. In the article, “Chipping Away at Turnover” by Anne-Margaret Sobota, COO Scott W. Smith explains how Shearer’s retains employees during times of key growth.

The award is presented by CAMP Inc., Key Bank, Corporate College, Great Lakes Integrated and Hughie’s Audio-Visual and Computer.
