As part of Shearer’s Foods continued focus on health and wellness, the company is sponsoring the First Annual CHIP CHASE 5K RUN/WALK on Friday, May 30, 2008 at 7:30 p.m.
The race begins and ends at Bimiler Park in Brewster, and will be held in conjunction with the Brewster Firemen’s Festival. Proceeds of the event will benefit the Brewster Volunteer Fire Department. Participants can register on-line through May 29 (www.ohiochallengeseries.com). Race day registration will be available from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in the Park. The entry fee for the 5K Run/Walk is $20 pre-registered and $25 race day. A family entry is $60 (family members living under one roof). There is no race day Family Entry. All participants will receive a t-shirt. The top three male and female winners will receive awards, plus the top three in each age group will receive awards. The race is ChampionChip timed and is part of the 2008 Subway Challenge Series. Results and photos will be available after the race at www.ohiochallengeseries.com.
The entire family is invited to enjoy the festivities, live band, fireworks and food that night at the Brewster Firemen’s Festival.
