Shearer’s Foods has been honored with the 2009 Cleveland Food Dealers Vendor of the Year Award. This award is presented annually to the company that has shown outstanding business success with continued growth and great performance within their company, while supporting the communities they serve.
According to Bob Lewis, President of the Cleveland Food Dealers Association, “Shearer’s Foods is one of the top performing companies in Ohio and has created jobs during a troubled economy and their internal employees’ development program is exceptional. Variety of superior products, exceptional quality and service along with innovative merchandizing and industry-wide support, both to independent grocers and corporate supermarkets, are a Shearer’s trademark and has made their company an easy choice by the Board of Trustees of the Cleveland Food Dealers Association to receive the Vendor of the Year Award.”
Accepting the 2009 Vendor Award on behalf of Shearer's Foods was Mr. Bill McCabe, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Mr. Tom Shearer, Vice President of Business Development and Mr. Randy Hyrne, National Sales Account Manager.
A beautiful plaque and a proclamation by George V. Voinovich, United States Senator of Ohio, was presented to Shearer’s recognizing the company for their thirty-five years of superior service and commitment to the food industry.
