Shearer's Foods Wins Weatherhead 100 Award

Brewster, Ohio:  Shearer’s Foods, home of Shearer’s Award Winning Snacks, has been honored as a 2009 Weatherhead 100 Centurion winner. Being named a Weatherhead 100 Centurion company is a unique recognition that distinguishes Shearer’s Foods among Northeast Ohio’s best.

Since 1987, the Weatherhead 100 has been a hallmark for recognizing companies that have successfully met economic challenges and grown their businesses, while exhibiting a true entrepreneurial spirit. The Weatherhead 100 accolade is highly regarded throughout the region and is a testament to hard work, commitment, innovation and the dream to succeed. Weatherhead 100 winners have a positive impact on the economy of Northeast Ohio.

Accepting awards is nothing new to Shearer’s. Since its founding in 1974, the Brewster-based snack food manufacturer has been honored for its outstanding snack food products, business growth, customer service, human resources practices, sustainability, community service and innovation in manufacturing. Shearer’s is now a six-time Weatherhead 100 Award winner.

The Awards were presented by the Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE) in partnership with the Weatherhead School of Management.
