    Shearer's Named Snack Manufacturer of the Year

    Brewster, Ohio:  Shearer’s was named 2011 Snack Manufacturer of the Year by Snack Food and Wholesale Bakery magazine.  The company was honored to receive this award in 2002 as well. The article, “Pure Perfection,” written by Marina Mayer, Executive Editor, appeared in the February 2011 edition of the magazine.  “A combination of rich culture, sustainable practices, better-for-you products and a devotion to being, well, perfect, have allowed Shearer’s Foods to garner Snack Food and Wholesale Bakery’s Snack Manufacturer of the Year award for the second time in 10 years,” Marina said in the article. For Shearer’s Foods, everything is an opportunity.  The company forged ahead, even in uncertain times, with new product lines, updated packaging initiatives, and a new LEED®  plant in Massillon, Ohio.
